Jojoba is a bushy plant located in desert zones of Mexico and South California. It has blue-green leaves of 2 to 4 centimeters from which is extracted Jojoba oil.
The properties of this oil are numerous and outstanding in comparison to other natural oils. It is a biodegradable oil without any toxic component. An important characteristic is that it never oxidates, as in the majority of oils. Therefore it does not get stale and can be stored up to 25 years without altering its properties. Other oils, in turn, need dark bottles as they cannot be exposed to light, and their life is short – they last fewer days.
This non-oxidation property makes this Jojoba oil an indispensable product in ecologic cosmetics. Also, it is an excellent firming agent.
Traditional properties
Between all vegetal oils that are known in the world, Jojoba has demonstrated its extraordinary nature and that it is the most complex – very similar to human fat. Thus, it is totally compatible and adequate for the skin, the body, the hair and the nails.
- Anti-wrinkles treatment: it acts very well in the prevention of wrinkles and is considered as one of the most active factors of anti-aging , being then essential in natural and bio cosmetics industry. - Nourishes and softens the hair: it also provides volume and shine to the hair, strengthening and revitalizing it. It is very convenient and recommended for dry and brittle hair. In greasy hair it also regulates the excess of natural oil and helps to reduce dandruff.
- Night Cream: ideal before going to sleep, especially as it maintains the moisture throughout the night. Also, it can be used as a makeup remover. It is a key ingredient of the Anti-Aging Cream.
